Psalm 139:11-12 "If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me and the light about me be night, even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day for darkness is as light to you.

What We Will Learn This Week:
  • Bible - Psalm 139:1-12 & Jesus Storybook Bible (begin new testament)
  • Book of The Week - Chicken Sunday by Patricia Polacco (author & illustrator) Russia (map) and vocabulary
  • Phonics/Reading/Writing - Wilson Unit 5 - Long & short vowels (auditory discrimination), read decodable reader, My Pal Bo, with long vowel, dictation of words and sentences, make sentences, find and write trick words, readers
    Trick Words (practice at home with cards) - by, my
    Continue to drill these at home and after they can read them, learn to spell them.
  • Math - Make April calendar; Tangrams - designs, flip, turn, slide; use number lines; measure length and estimation
  • Centers - Decodable reader (My Pal Bo),  read words on plastic eggs (word families), auditory discrimination activity with eggs, Jelly bean measuring; Pysanky egg design/painting
  • New Habit -Fortitude (April)
